Getting to interview Debbie Travis

As you may have gathered from my company name “Edit” Home Staging, my background is in print journalism. I have always loved writing about home decor, real estate and style trends, and being on staff at a major daily newspaper, and later a national magazine, has provided me with many wonderful opportunities over the years.

This past week, I had the opportunity to interview design guru Debbie Travis in person when she came through Calgary to promote her new line of Tuscan-inspired patio furniture. What a lovely treat for me!

I will post my full story here after it appears in the Calgary Herald’s special publication magazine, Inner City LIving. In the meantime, I should tell you that her new line is available at Sears stores, and it is durable and beautiful stuff. Example: Sofa cushions that dry super-fast for bathing suits and outdoor living, manufactured tabletops that look like gorgeous weathered wood, clean lines and streamlined patio sets for smaller spaces…

It was great to meet her and chat about decor, trends, outdoor living and of course Tuscany and Tuscan style. Stay tuned!
